purevitamins.com.au ("Pure Vitamins", “we”, “us” or “our”) is totally committed to protecting the privacy of our site visitors and customers.
Code of Practice
Pure Vitamins agrees to abide by the ADMA Code of Practice. We collect your personal information to fulfil your order and we do not pass names, addresses and other contact details to third parties other than to contracted digital or mailing houses bound by a Confidentiality Agreement. Your records held by us are available for your personal inspection by contacting us at our address below.
What information do we collect? How do we use it?
When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing and delivery address, credit card number and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of your order status.
When you voluntarily sign up for our E-mail Services, we need only a name and e-mail address - which we use to send the information you requested. The information you volunteer regarding a gift recipient is used solely to fulfil gifts you choose to send to that person.
When you enter a contest or other promotional feature, we may ask for your name, address and e-mail address so we can administer the contest and notify winners.
We collect aggregate information on customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the store.
We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about changes to the web site, new services and special offers we think you'll find valuable.
If you would rather not receive this information, please let us know by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or writing to us at the above address, and telling us that you do not want to receive e-mail from our company.
Any of your details that we hold are available for your personal inspection by contacting us on our free call number and verifying your identity.
How does Pure Vitamins protect customer information?
When you place orders or access your account information on the web site, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Confidential payment information, such as your credit card details is not stored on the web server but on a PCI certified vault database, which is heavily protected against unauthorised access.
What about "cookies"?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information sent by a web server and stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive so it can later be read back from that browser. This allows your browser to remember some specific information. Our cookies enable us to store items in your shopping cart and to identify you on return visits. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. However, while most of the content of our web site can be viewed without accepting cookies, the shopping facility and Members Only features of the site will not function properly when cookies are disabled.
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
Will Pure Vitamins disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
Pure Vitamins does not sell trade or rent your personal information to others. We do use contractors to prepare and lodge with Australia Post our conventional mail. A Confidentiality Agreement binds these contractors.
